When air or slightly pressurized gas is one of the fluids, the use of a coil-type heat exchanger is generally indicated. A great number of these applications require heat transfer enhancement, which is obtained mainly with fins. While being adequate for a wide range of applications, the quality of coils built by Caron et fils permits industrial installations due to, among other reasons, the use of integral aluminum finned tubes.
